You must grow in the grace and knowledge ofour Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ2 Peter 3:18
Now that you have become a Christian, you need to find a church where you can grow in your faith and become a fully functioning member of the family of God. Look for a church that teaches the Bible faithfully and that conscientiously follows the teachings of Jesus.
There’s no right way to choose a church, but you might want to start by asking friends or colleagues where they attend. You can also use the search tool in this app to locate churches nearest you, and then give them a call or just drop by when they worship.
Once you visit different churches, you’ll discover they have some things in common, but are unique in others. The denominations have developed their own traditions within the worship services. Some churches are more conservative while others are more lively and non-traditional.
When you find a church where you can connect relationally and be encouraged by fellow believers, make a personal commitment to attend that church for an extended period of time. This will allow you to meet people, learn what they do in the community, and discover ways you can become involved.
Many churches have small groups that meet regularly for fellowship and to study the Bible. You will benefit greatly from joining one of these groups.
