Most people already understand what we mean by true or truth. Truth is something that conforms to reality. If something is true, it is factual, exact, accurate, reliable, trustworthy, sure, honest or upright. A truth is a statement that is factual, reliable or trustworthy-something we know for certain.
Another definition of truth is faithfulness to a standard or original. In other words, it doesn’t deviate from what it’s supposed to be. This definition applies to moral truth and our need for comparing it to the standard of God’s moral code as stated in the Bible.
