Christian spirituality consists primarily of living in the Spirit. When you turn to God and receive His salvation, God’s Holy Spirit comes to live within you. You have a new spiritual life that you never had before. Your spirit comes alive and you have that spiritual relationship with God that you could not have had otherwise.
Historically, Christian spirituality has also meant the practice of certain spiritual disciplines, such as, worship, celebration, prayer, fasting, meditation, solitude, study, self-denial, simplicity, service, chastity, sacrifice, confession, frugality, fellowship, and silence.
The goal of Christian spirituality is for the believer to become more Christ-like in his or her character and lifestyle.
